SNL Host Sydney Sweeney Jokes About Nude Scenes and You Not Seeing Her in Madame Web

Sydney Sweeney’s nude scenes in HBO’s Euphoria got a shout-out or two during the first-time Saturday Night Live host’s monologue this weekend.

But first, Sweeney bared all about her role in Sony’s latest Spider-Man-adjacent superhero film.

Opening her SNL monologue on Saturday night, Sweeney said to the audience and viewers at home, “You might have seen me in Anyone But You or Euphoria,” as in her recent big-screen rom-com and HBO’s dark high school drama. Conversely, “You definitely did not see me in Madame Web,” the Dakota Johnson-fronted ensemble film that bombed at the box office and only recently passed Jared Leto’s Morbius as the lowest-grossing entry in the Sony Spider-Man Universe.

Again alluding to Euphoria, Sweeney continued, “I feel like people only see me as the girl on TV who screams, cries and has sex — sometimes it’s all three at same time — but I’m more than that.” She then detailed her upbringing in Spokane, including how she sold her parents on her dream to become an actor.

Sweeney showed the five-point plan she had presented her folks with via Powerpoint: Audition, get an agent, do commercials and short films, get SAG card. “But if that fails, I also presented them with a backup plan,” Sweeney said. The screen then flashed a slide that simply said, “SHOW BOOBS.”
