“Suits” star Patrick J. Adams joins Michelle Pfeiffer in “Yellowstone” spinoff, “The Madison”

Elle Chapman, Beau Garrett, and Amiah Miller are also set to star in the sequel series.

Patrick J. Adams might be trading his suit in for a saddle, thanks to his new role in the Yellowstone spinoff series, The Madison.

Paramount announced on Tuesday that Adams — who played Mike Ross in the 2010s legal-drama-turned-streaming-phenomenon Suits, has officially boarded the cast of the latest Taylor Sheridan series. He is set to star as Russell McIntosh, a young investment banker who “has followed the life path set before him from the start,” per his character description.

It was previously revealed that the upcoming spinoff landed Michelle Pfeiffer as both the star and executive producer.

The cast is also growing thanks to the addition of Elle Chapman (A Man Called Otto, Florida Wild), Beau Garrett (Firefly Lane, The Good Doctor), and Amiah Miller (My Best Friend's Exorcism).

Chapman will star opposite Adams as Paige McIntosh, described as a "somewhat self-centered woman who indulges in a luxurious New York lifestyle provided by her parents and investment banker husband." Meanwhile, Garrett fills the role of Abigail Reese, a “resilient and sardonic New Yorker, who is a recently divorced mother of two," and Miller stars as her eldest daughter Bridgette.

Previously titled 2024, the series has been described as "a heartfelt study of grief and human connection" that follows a New York City family as they relocate to Montana’s Madison River Valley. It marks the flagship show’s first present-day spinoff, after 1883 and 1923.

Initially, reports claimed Sheridan was in talks with Matthew McConaughey to star and the series was also rumored to feature members of the main Yellowstone cast, including Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, and Cole Hauser, among others. As of now, it's unclear whether said cast members will move over to the new show.

Luckily, more information is just on the horizon. At present, Yellowstone is approaching the release of its final season, which will not feature the return of star Kevin Costner. Since the future of the Dutton family and the shape of The Madison will likely become clear when fans see the final episode of the series, the wait is almost over.

Yellowstone returns on Sunday, Nov. 10 on the Paramount Network.
