New supermarket in Old Bridge opening Wednesday

OLD BRIDGE – SuperFresh is opening Wednesday in the Browntown Shopping Center, according to signs posted outside the store.

The more than 20,000-square-foot supermarket will be located at the former Walgreens site in the shopping center at Route 516 and Gaub Road, township officials previously told MyCentralJersey.com. Walgreens relocated to the front of the site several years ago.

In addition to Walgreens, SuperFresh will join Jersey Strong, Dollar Tree, 7-Eleven and Wendy's in the shopping center.

SuperFresh stores are typically open from 7 a.m. to midnight.

SuperFresh has locations in New York and New Jersey, locally in Middlesex Borough, Linden and in the Hopelawn section of Woodbridge, according to its website.
