Welcome to Take the Edge Off, a series that breaks down the beauty and self-care routines of influencers, CEOs, experts, and celebrities. Find out how they unwind and decompress while taking a closer look at the holy-grail essentials they’re currently raving about.

Supermodel Georgia May Jagger is used to being in the spotlight.

Along with finding success as the face of top brands like Rimmel London over her 16-year career, she is also the daughter of celebrity parents: Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger and model and actor Jerry Hall. And while May isn’t showing signs of slowing down any time soon—she recently graced the covers of Puss Puss magazine and CR Fashion Book, to name two publications—these days, she's more intentional about putting her well-being first. In June, Jagger announced her first pregnancy, with boyfriend Cambryan Sedlick, ahead of the U.S. launch of her skincare brand, May Botanicals.

“I’m quite happy that we’re getting more into seeing people’s real routines, or real skin, on Instagram and TikTok, and we’re not just in this crazy blown-out filter world it felt like we were in a few years ago,” she says. “So I feel like that’s a positive place we’re going to. I genuinely want to see what people are really doing and really look like, you know what I mean?”

Jagger came up with the idea for May Botanicals five years ago, but she first became interested in discovering the best products for her skin as a teenager, dealing with issues like sensitivity and eczema while modeling in fashion shows and photo shoots. As an adult, she still deals with sensitive skin, which is just one reason her new products are dermatologically tested.

“The line’s all pregnancy-safe,” Jagger tells Bazaar. “I didn’t want people to have to struggle with changing their products and getting a new routine [if they get pregnant]. So it’s been really nice for me as well during this time that I get to use it.” May Botanicals isn’t her first foray into creating a beauty brand—Jagger also co-owns viral hair care company Bleach London.

Here, the supermodel provides a closer look at some of her most beloved self-care favorites—from YSL Beauty’s Mascara Volume Effect Faux Cils to the May Botanicals Kelp! Seaweed Mask. Plus, Jagger shares how her approach to beauty and wellness has shifted since she began her pregnancy journey.

What are you reading or listening to these days?

I’m just reading a bunch of baby books right now. One is called The First Forty Days, which is about after having a baby—I’ve been listening to different audiobooks the whole time. For music, I’ve been listening to my friends Pretty Sick’s latest album, Streetwise, which is really good, and just lots of old-school soul music. I haven’t been listening to any podcasts lately, but I’m always looking for a new true-crime one.

What are some of your go-to bath or shower products?

I usually wash my face in the shower and use my Clean Slate cleanser. I love it because it makes your skin feel really clean without taking away its natural oils. It also has salicylic acid in it, so the cleanser is lightly exfoliating but still hydrating.

I’ve also been using the Osea Undaria Algae Body Oil, followed by the Super Balm, which is my product as well. It’s a multipurpose balm that has beeswax in it, shea butter, and sweet almond oil. I’ve been using that on my belly and several other areas as well. I’m trying to keep as hydrated as possible, so I’m really into after-shower care at the moment. For the face, I’ve been exfoliating once a week with the Goop Microderm face exfoliator or Sisley Paris’s Exfoliating Enzyme Mask.

What beauty or self-care products do you use on a regular basis to help combat Zoom fatigue?

Definitely my seaweed sheet mask is one I reach for if I have an early meeting. I’ve been putting it in the fridge to keep it cool—it’s collagen-producing, with peach and pear extracts and aloe. And so, I’ll then use the Jenny Patinkin Cryo Glow Globes that I keep in the freezer on top of the mask. If I don’t have a lot of time, I’ll use a cold rose quartz roller or the Isamaya × Face Gym Sculpt 01 with my Daily Dose moisturizer quickly. Because I’m pregnant, I feel more puffy, so I’m very into anything cooling.

Do you have a favorite hand sanitizer, soap, or cream right now?

I’m currently using the One Skin Body OS-01 Peptide Topical Supplement & Skin Longevity Age Reversal Moisturizer, along with Osea’s Undaria Algae Body Oil. And then I’m using the Super Balm, of course, for my bum. And lastly, I’m using the Irene Organics belly balm.

What was the last beauty product you put on today?

The last product that I put on was probably the Victoria Beckham Beauty Reflect highlighter stick. I don’t always use it, but today I wanted to be a bit glowy.

Are you into bold makeup, no makeup, or no-makeup makeup right now?

I’ve gone very into my minimal makeup routine—I like using Chantecaille’s Future Skin Gel Foundation. I’ve also been shopping around for mascaras at the moment, which isn’t really like me. But for daytime, I’ve been using Hourglass’s Unlocked Instant Extensions Mascara, and for evening I really like YSL’s Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils.

For lips, I’ve been having a love affair with Clinique’s Almost Lipstick in black honey and any tinted balms. I’ll use my Super Balm as well on top of lip liner, usually the Victoria Beckham Beauty Lip Definer in No. 4. I’ve also been getting into wearing red lipstick again. I was going through all of my makeup, and I realized that lip products are the ones that I buy the most of. I think I stay very loyal to my face makeup: foundation, bronzers, and things like that I don’t really switch up that much. I was saying to my boyfriend, “If you see me buy another tinted lip balm just, please [stop me].”

How has your beauty routine changed since becoming pregnant?

I feel like I’ve been lucky because I have friends who’ve been pregnant and gotten rosacea or a lot more skin problems than me. I already was a bit pared-back because my skin’s sensitive and because so many of the products I use are pregnancy-safe anyway, because that’s kind of my vibe; it didn’t have to change that much. But I did definitely look into some of the other products I was using, like serums or acids, not that I was using much of [them] anyway. But luckily, all the products in my line are pregnancy-safe. I’m also just trying not to add tons of new products to my routine, which I was also doing anyway.

What’s the last fitness class you streamed or attended in person?

I’ve been going to Pilates while pregnant. I’ve been trying to keep it up just because I feel like you have to. I do a lot of hiking as well. But for Pilates, I go to a place called Ozar Wellness House that’s especially for people that have back issues and things like that. I was going to regular classes, but as I got this pregnant, I said, “Oh, I don’t know about this for me.” It’s kind of funny, though, because people are like, “You’re doing so great!” and I’m like, literally doing nothing.

What’s one piece of self-care advice you’d give our readers?

For me, a big part of wanting to make my range like a mini facial was the idea that if you have 15 to 20 minutes, you can do five skincare steps, give yourself an at-home facial, and take that time for yourself. I feel like so much of the time, we’re on our phones and we’re not taking that one-on-one time to really check in with ourselves. It always feels like a reconnecting moment for me to do that.

I also feel that taking vitamins—something I did not do before I was pregnant—has been a big one for me. I think I’ll continue to—I mean, obviously holding myself to this now, but I think I’ll continue to take vitamins every day [after the pregnancy as well]. I used to say, “Eh, I can’t really be bothered to do that,” but since taking them, they’ve really been great for my skin and hair.
