As per Deadline, Padalecki has signed up for a three-episode arc in the upcoming third season of Fire Country, which follows ex-convict Bode Leone (Max Thieriot) as he seeks redemption with a role as a firefighter.

The article also states that the actor’s short stint could be viewed with a potential spinoff in mind, with executives reportedly considering Padalecki for a role in the previously announced Sheriff Country.

Whilst Padalecki’s role on Fire Country may be brief, his part as Sam Winchester on Supernatural became iconic by the end of the 15-year run, which spanned 327 episodes. The star recently spoke about his role, sharing his desire to reunite with creator Eric Kripke on Prime Video’s The Boys.

“The answer is yes,” he shared. “We have talked [about a role]. As a matter of fact, we talked today. I think at this point in my acting life, I only want to work on projects that I really care about or with people that I really care about, and obviously, Eric and I are indelibly connected forever.
