Tallulah Willis Gets Candid About ‘Painful Days’ Amid Dad Bruce Willis’ Dementia Battle
Tallulah Willis, the youngest daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, shared an update on how her father is doing these days amid his health struggles.
While visiting Today to talk about her autism diagnosis at the age of 29, anchors Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie asked about the Die Hard actor, with Kotb posing the question, "How is your dad these days?"
"He's doing stable, which, in this situation, is good and..." She took a deep breath and added, "It's hard. There's painful days. But there's so much love."
Tallulah emphasized this, going on to say, "It's really shown me to not take any moment for granted...You have to be in the moment. You have to be present."
The Today show went on to share the clip on Instagram as well, leading many fans to flood the comments with support for Willis and his family.
"So much love for Bruce Willis. Such a blessing this family can love and be with him," wrote one person, while a creator named Carrie Aalberts, who focuses on advocating and educating people about dementia, said, "Thank you to the Willis family for being open and sharing ❤️❤️❤️❤️."
"This family knows what matters!! Amazing example❤️," said another.
Along with the conversation about her dad, Tallulah appeared on Today to spread awareness about autism since receiving a diagnosis at 29 years old after being "misdiagnosed for many years."
She noted that it is still very new to her and she's still learning. Tallulah earnestly explained that she felt "relief" when she got the diagnosis, as she felt that she was "very broken" before.
"So to learn that the elements of myself that I felt were maladies, or wrong, or just too much for this world, are actually okay, and they just require maybe a little bit more tools," she went on.
Tallulah has been very open about her personal journey online, often sharing updates with friends and fans on social media.
