Tennis courts, guesthouses and infinity pools: See Milwaukee area's million dollar home sales

Demand for high-end homes in the Milwaukee area is still strong, more than four years since the pandemic set the housing market ablaze.

So far this month, more than a dozen homes in the Milwaukee area have sold for upwards of a million dollars, according to sale records from the Metro Multiple Listing Service.

Here's a look at five of the Milwaukee area's most expensive recent home sales:

$1.6 million historic Tudor home in Shorewood

In Shorewood, a Tudor style home built in 1928 sold for $1.6 million on Sept. 10.

The 5,450-square-foot home is on a historic block of Shorewood just off Lake Drive. It features six bedrooms and 4.5 baths, according to the listing.

$1.66 million for A.C. Eschweiler hunting lodge in River Hills

A 1911 hunting lodge in River Hills home sold for $1.66 million Sept. 10.

The home, which sits on a five-acre, wooded estate, was designed by famed Milwaukee architect A.C. Eschweiler, who also designed Milwaukee's Gas Light Building. It spans more than 6,000 square feet and features four bedrooms and 4.5 baths, according to the listing.

$2.15 million new-build on Lake Keesus

A new-build in the Town of Merton sold for $2.15 million on Sept. 6.

Construction on the house was completed in 2022, according to the listing. It features five bedrooms, 4.5 baths and an open-concept main floor overlooking Lake Keesus.

$3.7 million Mequon home with tennis court and guesthouse

A high-end Mequon home sold for $3.7 million on Sept. 13. The three bedroom, six-bath house sits on a 9 acre lot along Lake Michigan.

In addition to the nearly 9,000-square-foot home, the grounds feature a guest house and a tennis court, according to the listing.

$4 million luxury cabin on Upper Nemahbin Lake

A 5,000-square-foot luxury log cabin in the Village of Summit sold for $4 million on Sept. 11 — the most expensive Milwaukee-area home sale recorded in recent weeks.

The house features four bedrooms, 4.5 baths and an infinity pool with lakefront views out back, according to the listing. It sits on a nine-acre estate with nearly 650 feet of shoreline along Upper Nemahbin Lake.
