Three dead in motorcycles crashes in Albany, Dorchester and Greenville on Saturday

Aug. 25—Three people were killed in separate motorcycle crashes across the state on Saturday, according to New Hampshire State Police.

The crashes were in Albany, Dorchester and Greenville.

The first crash happened just before 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Fitchburg Road (Route 31) and Wilton Road in Greenville. Raymond Russell Jr., 56, of Hudson, who was riding a 2012 Harley Davidson, died after colliding with a 2013 Subaru Legacy, according to a news release.

According to the investigation, the Subaru Legacy, driven by Cole Gibson, 23, of New Ipswich, took a left turn from Old Wilton Road when Russell struck the driver's side of the Subaru. A passenger on the motorcycle suffered serious injuries and needed to be taken to the hospital in a medical helicopter.

Gibson was treated and released from an area hospital.

The passenger of a motorcycle traveling eastbound on Route 118 in Dorchester died after the driver "failed to negotiate a turn, crossing the centerline, and into the opposite lane where it struck an oncoming vehicle," a news release reads. The crash occurred just after 5 p.m.

The passenger who was killed was identified as Madeline Tredo, 23, of Meredith.

Route 118 remained closed while the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit investigated.

The third crash took place on Route 112 in Albany just after 6 p.m., according to a news release.

According to an initial investigation, a pair of motorcyclists were riding together when one lost control for an unknown reason and crashed near the Lower Falls Scenic Area. The driver was identified as Jjae Chamberlain, 51, of Hudson, who died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

Route 112 was closed for a period of time while crews worked to investigate the scene.
