'Thursdays at the Square': See Hornell concert schedule, food vendors for each week

Downtown Hornell will be the place for live music starting this week with the first "Thursdays at the Square" in the city's newest park.

Hornell Partners for Growth is behind the nine free concerts at Union Square Park. The shows will feature performances by local and regional artists at the nearly one-acre venue at the corner of Seneca and Genesee streets.

Bands and solo acts will perform from the covered stage in the park's amphitheater and seating will be available.

"Thursdays at the Square" will feature more than music, so arrive by 5 p.m. to take advantage.

Each week HPG will provide free children’s activities and free ice-pops, while supplies last. Look for craft and food vendors each week as well. The popular Union Square fountain will be on for every Thursday night concert.
