Director Vincent Williams will bring playwright Judi Ann Mason's Indigo Blues: A Love Song back to life with a diner and theater event.

Mason was a native of Bossier City and a graduate of Grambling State University. Among her television writing credits are Good Times, Sanford and Son, A Different World, Beverly Hills, 90210 and Guiding Light. She also co-wrote the film Sister Act II.

Indigo Blues is a story of two sisters in love with the same man. The sisters are living in a gloomy old mansion next to a graveyard in the deep south and when Moses Britton returns home to claim the love of his life the level of suspense rises with its melodramatic genre.

“I decided to do the play again because one of my favorite pieces and it never gets old,” said Williams, “It’s a true love story.”

Williams feels the play is perfect for Shreveport, “The play is set in Louisiana, so it will take the audience on a memorable journey in this area.”

Last day to purchase tickets is July 27th.

The cast includes:

  • Clara Rose Boudreaux will be played by Mary Jones

  • Muriel Louise Boudreaux will be played by Tianna Andrews
