TMZ Calls Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Divorce “Inevitable” as He Buys a $20.5 Million Home in Los Angeles
An update on Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s whole housing situation: It looks like Ben is moving out of his Brentwood rental and into a $20.5 million bachelor pad he purchased in the Pacific Palisades. According to TMZ, the actor’s new home has five bedrooms and six bathrooms in addition to a guest house.
The big purchase comes as the couple’s $68 million mansion remains on the market and J.Lo spends the summer in Europe and the Hamptons (while Ben moved all his belongings out of their marital home).
TMZ calls a Ben and Jen split “inevitable” amid this news and claims that the actor officially living on his own means that his marriage to J.Lo is “headed for a conclusion in divorce court.”
Separate homes don’t seem like a great sign, but for what it’s worth, a source recently told the Daily Mail that the celebs have been rekindling their romance by writing each other letters.
“Jen and Ben agreed it is best to take some time apart so they can really figure out what it is that they want,” the insider said. “They were ready to throw in the towel. Divorce papers are done and ready to be filed. But they wanted to give it one last go before walking away from this and are going back to the beginning by writing each other letters. This is what made them fall in love in the first place.”
And yet another person close to the sitch noted that the pair has a “deep love for each other,” adding that they “just have to find what got them back together in the first place and there is definitely a chance that three will be a charm when and if that happens, they aren’t throwing in the towel. They are taking it day by day and they don’t want to get divorced.”
