TMZ Insiders Say Blake Lively Felt Justin Baldoni “Fat-Shamed” Her and “Lingered” on a Kiss Too Long
If you’ve been wondering what exactly happened to cause tension between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni on the set of It Ends With Us (after days of cryptic reports), TMZ sources have finally weighed in with specifics.
According to the outlet’s sources, Justin has a “history of back problems” and before a scene involving him lifting Blake into the air, “he went to his on-set trainer and asked how much she weighed and how could he train to protect his back from injury.” TMZ reports that the comment “really bothered Blake,” who felt the actor/director had “fat-shamed her.”
On top of this, a second on-set incident happened during a kiss between Justin and Blake’s characters, where Blake “felt he lingered longer than he should have with the kiss” and made her “uncomfortable.”
This news comes amid Justin hiring a crisis PR manager as well as reports that the pair had some tension regarding differing cuts of the film. As of now, neither Blake nor Justin have commented on allegations of tension between them, but most of the cast of It Ends With Us appear to have unfollowed the director. He’s also not doing press with the cast, didn’t pose with them during the film’s premiere, and made it clear he won’t be directing a sequel, telling Us Weekly, “I think there are better people for that one. I think Blake Lively is ready to direct. That’s what I think.”
