Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev shares bike injury update
The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev has shared an update on her recent bike injury.
The star revealed earlier this year that she was involved in an electric bike accident, though is now thankfully “doing pretty well”.
The star explained in a new interview with People that doctors “were pretty surprised” at the speed of her recovery, adding: “I'm a little ahead of schedule in terms of healing, but it is still a very long process.”

Opening up further about the process, she said: “I didn't realize it meant nine months to a year of recovery. So I'm only on month, maybe three and a half now.
“So there's still a ways to go. And a lot of times at this point in the healing process, people get re-injured because they feel fine. And so they start doing normal things. So I have to kind of remind myself that I'm still healing and there's still a little bit of time to go.”
Dobrev went on to praise her boyfriend Shaun White for being “especially” supportive through her recovery, notably as they attended the Paris Olympics together.

“I'd never been before, so I had no idea how much walking there is,” she explained. “All those streets are closed, so you have to walk from venue to venue and do all these things.
“And so he prearranged to have a wheelchair there so that I wouldn't have to walk as much. We had my canes and he was there by my side taking care of me the whole time.”
Back in June, Dobrev admitted that “life looks a lil different lately” following the accident as she shared a series of photos from her recovery.
"Trading in the 'selfie' for the ‘leggie’,” she wrote on Instagram. “Get ready for the leg content because that’s all I’ve got in my camera roll these days.”
