Congratulations to the Valley Christian trio of Derek Wallace, Mason Everts, and Aaron Harness on being voted the Fond du Lac Reporter/Oshkosh Northwestern High School Football Week 2 Players of the Week!

Wallace, Everts, and Harness combined to receive 485 out of 2,641 total votes cast (18.36%) to claim the honor this week after Wallace collected 23 tackles (nine solo), Everts followed with 20, and Harness proved to be the Warriors' difference-maker with his first quarter safety, along with 13 tackles and a forced fumble, in Valley's 15-13 victory over Wonewoc-Weston.

Here are the candidates for Week 3:

TAYLOR SCHAUMBERG, Lomira: Schaumberg carried 21 times for 166 yards (7.9 ypa) and three touchdowns in the Lions' 28-7 victory over Laconia.

CHARLIE CLARK, Oshkosh North: Clark stepped up as North's backup quarterback to complete 3-of-4 passes for 151 yards and two scores while also rushing for a touchdown in the Spartans' 42-7 victory over Manitowoc Lincoln.

BEN ANDERSON, St. Mary's Springs: Anderson completed 7-of-9 passes for 111 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 48 yards and another pair of scores on five carries, leading the 3-0 Ledgers to a 55-6 blowout victory over winless Omro.

JOREN SCHLENDER/SAWYER HARDESTY, Mayville: Schlender (10 carries, 128 yards, four touchdowns; one catch, 13 yards) and Hardesty (14 carries, 119 yards, two touchdowns; two catches, 50 yards) led the 3-0 Cardinals' offense, which racked up 403 total rushing yards in a dominant 49-12 victory over Winnebago Lutheran.

LUCAS NEUENS/HARLAN KUEHN, Lourdes Academy: Neuens led the Knights in receiving with seven catches for 71 yards and returned two kickoffs for a total of 104 yards, including an 82-yard touchdown, while Kuehn racked up 16 tackles (five solo) and forced two fumbles in Lourdes' 30-22 road loss to Randolph.

MITCHELL MOSER/BRAYDEN GLUGLA/BO BIJL, Oakfield: Moser completed 13-of-20 passes for an even 400 yards and six touchdowns, leaning on Glugla (five catches, 221 yards, two touchdowns) and Bijl (four catches, 121 yards, three touchdowns) as his go-to targets. Glugla also led the Oaks' defense with 14 tackles (nine solo), Moser reeled in an interception, and Bijl had the lone sack for Oakfield in their 59-27 win over Abundant Life/St. Ambrose.

MATTHIAS BEHLING/DEREK WALLACE/MASON EVERTS, Valley Christian: Behling completed 9-of-11 passes for 60 yards and two touchdowns, including an 8-yard pass to Wallace. Behlin also carried six times for 31 yards and another two scores while Wallace had six carries for 59 yards and another touchdown, himself. Defensively, Everts tallied another 20 tackles, Wallace followed with 10 tackles, and Behling intercepted a pass in the Warriors' 41-6 win over St. John's Northwestern.

BRODY SCHAFFER/JACK QUIGLEY, Winneconne: Schaffer completed 13-of-19 passes for 197 yards and three touchdowns, two of which went to Quigley (eight catches, 152 yards), including a 78-yard connection to cap off an unanswered 23-point second quarter run. Schaffer also led the Wolves in rushing with 13 carries for 98 yards and two more scores and finished second on the team in tackles with nine (six solo) in Winneconne's 44-30 win over New London.

CARTER HESS/JAKOB MARTIN, Berlin: Hess led the rushing attack for Berlin with nine carries for 155 yards, while also securing two catches for 56 yards and a touchdown, and Martin added 14 carries for 94 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, Hess also had an interception, and Martin recorded the lone sack in the 43-0 shutout win over Wautoma.
