The men's and women's gymnastics competitions at the 2024 Paris Olympics are well underway with several medals for the U.S. teams already won, and the women's all-around finals are the next event to take place.

U.S. athletes have been making history during the gymnastics competition in Paris. Simone Biles became the most decorated U.S. gymnast in history when she, Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey and Hezly Rivera took home the gold medal in the women's team finals on July 30.

The U.S. men's team — Asher Hong, Paul Juda, Brody Malone, Stephen Nedoroscik and Frederick Richard — won the bronze medal on July 29, marking the first time the men's team has made it to the podium since 2008.

All eyes were on the women's team as they embarked on what Biles called a "redemption tour" from the team's performance in Tokyo in 2021, and Biles is a heavy favorite to win the women's all-around competition on Aug. 1.

After the men's and women's all-around competitions conclude, individual apparatus event finals run from Aug. 3 to Aug. 5.
