Watch live: Bell of Hope marks exact moment first plane hit World Trade Center on 9/11

Watch live as the Bell of Hope rings at St Paul's Chapel in New York City to mark the exact moment when the first of two planes hit the World Trade Center Twin Towers on September 11, 2001.

The bell was presented to the people of New York as a gift from London's St Mary-le-Bow church, a sister church to St Paul's Chapel, in 2002.

It is rung at a commemorative ceremony remembering the victims of 9/11 every year.

The bell ringing comes as Joe Biden and Kamala Harris mark 23 years since the attacks at a commemorative ceremony in the city.

The president and vice president will visit each of the three sites where hijacked planes crashed in 2001, killing almost 3,000 people.

They will first visit the site where planes brought down the World Trade Center's twin towers.

Biden and Harris will then fly to Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where passengers on United Flight 93 overcame hijackers and the plane crashed in a field, preventing another target from being hit.

They will then go back to the Washington area to visit the Pentagon memorial.

According to his campaign, Donald Trump will also attend ceremonies in New York and visit Shanksville.
