Recorded earlier

President Biden has announced a major change to immigration policy that has the potential to affect many families.

The move will enable certain undocumented migrants with a spouse who is a U.S. citizen to stay in the country and become eligible for employment. The regularization program, known as parole in place, is now used for military families.

Paperwork for some other work visa applicants, such as beneficiaries of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, is also to be streamlined.

The briefing is scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m. EDT.
