Watch: Ohio AG Dave Yost entertains RNC attendees with Bob Seger cover

Ohio Attorney General and 2026 gubernatorial contender Dave Yost gave Ohio delegates a short concert at the Republican National Convention.

Monday, Yost played piano while putting a Republican spin on his own version of Bob Seger's "Old Time Rock and Roll." "We're fighting for America's soul / Those progressives are just out of control," he sang.

The GOP convention began Monday, just two days after former President Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

The former president has also indicated he will announce his 2024 running mate Monday. That could make it a big day for Ohio politics, as the V.P. shortlist reportedly includes J.D. Vance, Ohio's Republican U.S. Senator.

Some notable names serving as Ohio delegates include Governor Mike DeWine, his wife Fran DeWine, Lt. Gov. Jon Husted, who is also looking forward to the 2026 governor's race, and Bernie Moreno, who is running against for U.S. Senate against incumbent Democrat Sherrod Brown, to name a few.
