How to watch and support Council Rock Newtown Baseball's Little League World Series bid
Excitement surrounds a team of young ball players from Bucks County, as Council Rock Newtown gears up for their Little League Baseball World Series run thanks to a big win in last week's Mid-Atlantic Region championship game.
The Little League Baseball World Series is a showcase of the best young baseball talent from around the globe, featuring teams of 10- to 12-year-old players competing for the title.
This will be Council Rock Newtown's first trip back to the World Series in Williamsport since 2005. And they are strarting the tournament as the team with the longest winning streak among the brackets.
When does the Little League World Series start?
The 2024 tournament begins Wednesday and features a full slate of games each day leading up to the Little League World Series Championship played on Aug. 25.
When does Council Rock Newtown play in the Little League World Series?
Council Rock Newtown is scheduled to play their world series opener at 7 p.m. on Thursday, representing the Mid-Atlantic Region as they face off against Southwest representative Needville from Texas, who lost in the U.S. championship last year.
If Council Rock Newtown wins Thursday, they will continue on in the winners bracket, playing their next game Aug. 19.
If they lose in the first game, the team will still be in the running, but move into the elimination bracket with their next game taking place this Saturday.
Thanks to the double elimination format, teams stay in contention until they are defeated twice.

Tranquility Brewing Company will be hosting a Little League World Series Watch Party at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 15 and will be donating 10% of all sales that day and raffle proceeds to Council Rock Little Newtown to help support the cost of travel and other expenses.

Little League World Series schedule and bracket explained
Opening rounds of the Little League World Series are played Aug. 14-17, with all teams entering the Little League World Series double-elimination bracket.
Teams that win advance in the winner’s bracket. Teams that lose in the opening rounds will move into the elimination bracket, where a second loss knocks them out of the tournament. The finalists from the winner and elimination brackets will face off in the U.S. and International championship games on Aug. 24.
The U.S. and International champions then battle for the title at the Little League World Series Championship game on at 3 p.m. on Aug. 25.
The two runners-up from the U.S. and International brackets will play for third place in a consolation game at 10 a.m. that same day.

Where is the Little League Baseball World Series?
The Little League World Series is played in South Williamsport, 180 miles northwest of Philadelphia.
Games will take place at Howard J. Lamade and Volunteer stadiums within the Little League International Complex, less than 10 miles from where the very first Little League game was played.
How to watch Little League World Series on TV
The 2024 Little League World Series games will be aired live on ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC.
ESPN and ESPN 2 typically cover the majority of games, while ABC broadcasts the key matchups, including the U.S. Championship, International Championship, and the Little League World Series Championship Game.
Fans can also stream the games live via the ESPN app, ESPN+ or the ABC app.
