Dean Smith says his side 'were poor in set-pieces' after Loughgall were defeated 5-1 by Linfield at Windsor Park.

Goals from Chris McKee, Joel Cooper and Sam Roscoe (2) gave the home side a comfortable lead at the break.

Ethan McGee netted Linfield's fifth on the 61st minute before Ryan Waide scored a consolation goal.

"We’ll learn our lesson from today. Today will not affect where we end up in the league to be honest.

"I thought for the first 45 minutes Linfield were super and we couldn’t cope with the set-pieces. When four out of five goals come from set-pieces, it shows we were poor in set-pieces."

Smith added that he believed the penalty that was awarded for the first goal after a handball in the box was "harsh" and didn't agree with other refereeing decisions during the game, which was his sides first defeat of the season.

"To be honest I thought the first two goals were harsh on us. I thought the penalty was a really harsh decision and the second one comes from a corner that isn’t.

"I’m not saying it changes where the three points are going to go, but it is difficult enough to come to teams like Linfield and Windsor Park and when you don’t get those decisions for you, it makes for a tough day."
