The Wayne County Fair kicked off Saturday morning and went well into the evening capping the day off with the truck and tractor pull and naming the 2024 Junior Fair king and queen.

This year's Junior Fair king is Reis Durstine and the queen is Marley Snyder.

The day began with the traditional raising of the flag at the Event Center.

Junior Fair judging and shows throughout the day included junior rabbit, open flow, junior horse, market steer, beef feeder calf and showmanship, born and raised junior meat goat, open horse, Pee Wee goat and Ayrshire and Guernsey dairy cow.

Sunday schedule of events

7 a.m.: Catholic Mass, Event Center

8 a.m.: Wool show, sheep arena

8:30 a.m.: Junior daily judging contest, Coliseum

9 a.m.: Mini hitch, pony and draft horse hitches, grandstand

9 a.m.: Junior horse show, riding arenda

9 a.m.: Open sheep show, show arena

9:30 a.m.: Church service, Event Center

Noon: Livestock judging, Event Center

1 p.m.: Banjo and fiddling contest, Coliseum

2 p.m.: Kiddie Tractor Pull, Event Center

5 p.m.: Shepherds lead class, show arena

5 p.m.: Junior Fair cornhole contest, infield, west end

6 p.m.: Junior Fair baking auction, Event Center

7 p.m.: Square dance, Coliseum

8 p.m.: Oak Ridge Boys, grandstand

Monday schedule of events

8 a.m.: Junior swine showmanship, Event Center

8 a.m.: Junior poultry show, Event Center

9 a.m.: Pony, draft, miniature horse haulter show, Coliseum

9 a.m.: Junior horse show, riding arena

9 a.m.: School bands perform, grandstand

Noon: Local tractor pull, grandstand

Noon: Junior market lamb and showmanship shows, show arena

2 p.m.: Pee-Wee and pro showmanship sheep show, show arena

6 p.m.: Mini dairy showmanship, Coliseum

7:30 p.m.: Brown Swiss and Guernsey show, Coliseum

8 p.m.: Matthew West concert, grandstand
