Where were NC State, UNC, Duke picked in ACC football preseason poll?

N.C. State football is projected to be the best ACC team in North Carolina, according to the conference’s 2024 preseason media poll released Wednesday.

The Wolfpack picked up the fourth-most votes (8) to win the ACC title in a poll of 170 voters. Florida State, the reigning league champion, is projected to win back-to-back championships.

The Seminoles received 81 first-place votes, followed by Clemson (55) and Miami (17). Virginia Tech (5), Cal (2), Boston College (1) and Georgia Tech (1) also received first-place votes.

As for the predicted conference standings, UNC was slotted eighth, between SMU and the Yellow Jackets. Duke, which is entering its debut season under Manny Diaz, was picked to finish 11th in the 17-team league.
