Here’s Why ‘Buying Beverly Hills’ Isn’t Returning for Another Season

It’s been a devastating start to the week when it comes to TV news. First, Prime Video chose not to renew My Lady Jane after its inaugural season, and now Netflix has just canceled the real estate reality series Buying Beverly Hills after two seasons.

A refresher that the show first aired in 2022 and followed the lives and careers of the team at The Agency in Los Angeles. The Agency is headed up by Mauricio Umansky, aka the husband of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills icon Kyle Richards.

Kyle and Mauricio’s daughters, Farrah, Alexia, and Sophia also work at The Agency, and the series saw their family balance, tricky office dynamics, media speculation, and obvi, the selling of million-dollar homes.

The second season aired earlier this year, and fans (hi, that’s us) were fully expecting it to be renewed for a third. However, Deadline has now confirmed the series will not be returning for another season.

A source told the publication the cancellation is reportedly due to “viewing numbers versus the cost of production.” So far, no member of the cast has commented on the news.

In addition to the tough world of the real estate industry, season 2 of Buying Beverly Hills also touched on the split between Mauricio and his ex-wife Kyle, who made a number of appearances in the series—including one scene in which the reality stars discussed the ongoing media speculation surrounding their relationship with their daughters.

Thankfully, however, this won’t be the last we’ll see of Kyle, and most likely her daughters, on screen, as the celeb was recently spotted filming for the 14th season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

We wonder if they’ll address the Netflix cancellation on the show?
