Why Kit Harington Literally Can’t Watch ‘House of the Dragon’
One person who certainly didn’t tune in to HBO’s House of the Dragon this season? Game of Thrones star Kit Harington, who “knows nothing” (attempting to make a Jon Snow joke, don’t mind me) about the series. And it’s not like he’s too busy to watch. Turns out, he simply “can’t.” Like, he...can not!
“I just can’t watch it,” Kit recently told the Associated Press (via Variety). “I think for me, it’s just I’ve spent too long there. And I wish them all the best. I hear it’s wonderful and going really well. But I don’t think I’ll ever watch that show, and I don’t think I’ll watch Game of Thrones again for a few years.”
And apparently, the actor isn’t alone. Kit’s Game of Thrones costar Emilia Clarke confessed to Variety a while back that she also “just can’t do it” when it comes to watching GOT's acclaimed prequel, adding, “It’s so weird. It’s so strange.”
The celeb then went on to say, “I’m so happy it’s happening. I’m over the moon about all the awards….I just can’t do it. It’s so weird. It’s so strange. It’s kind of like someone saying, ‘You want to go to this school reunion that’s not your year? Want to go to that school reunion?’ That’s how it feels. I’m avoiding it.”
Honestly, you couldn’t pay me to go to my own school reunion, so I get it.
