Yung Pueblo's latest book hopes readers can learn how to love better through self-awareness and show compassion instead of judgment.

In How to Love Better: The Path to Deeper Connection Through Growth, Kindness, and Compassion, the New York Times bestselling author "offers a blueprint for deepening your compassion, kindness and gratitude so you can truly grow in harmony with another person and build stronger connections in all your relationships," according to an official synopsis.

The book is slated for publication on March 11, 2025, and will feature the author's trademark mix of poetry, personal experience and thoughtful advice. Throughout life, love comes in many forms ranging from friends and family to romantic partners. However, the relationships are defined by self-love, Yung Pueblo writes.

"The purpose of this book revolves around the fact that even though we are familiar with our own emotional ranges, we can benefit from improving our understanding of ourselves and how we relate to what we feel," Yung Pueblo tells PEOPLE.

Yung Pueblo is a pen name used by Diego Perez, who previously wrote Lighter: Let Go of the Past, Connect with the Present, and Expand the Future, which focuses on healing from the inside out. How to Love Better is no different.
